The Trembling Wilburys is one of the most acclaimed tribute bands in the UK today, featuring a line-up of seven outstanding vocalists and musicians who play a wide variety of classic songs by rock super-group the Traveling Wilburys – plus a bunch of solo hits by George Harrison/Beatles, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne/ELO.
Glen Knowler is completely uncanny as George (easily the closest look & sound-alike on the planet), while Dave Collison perfectly reproduces Roy Orbison’s unique vocal style and stage presence. The band have been enthralling audiences for the past couple of years with their totally magical 2-hour show – Set 1 features solo hits, while Set 2 is the full Wilburys experience plus a few other surprises.
“Wow what at great group the Trembling Wilburys are, hope you have them back again. Everyone said how great they were on the night. Look forward to seeing them again, can’t wait. Regards Elaine.”

BOOMING IN SUTTON & MOONING IN PUTNEY!!
We recently had a fantastic night at the Boom Boom Club in Sutton on August 30th, where these great new photos were taken just minutes before we went on stage (thanks to Kate Weston for snapping). The audience included ex-Wings and Wild Angels drummer Geoff Britton, while sound engineer Bevo Bailey and daughter Sheena did a superb job for us. We also welcomed our old friend Mike Berry down at the Half Moon Putney where we played for the third time in a year on September 20th, while we also had a lot of fun at Livestock Festival in Enfield over August Bank Holiday. Watch out for new gigs being added all the time!
Showbiz legends were in abundance at the Regents Park Marriott Hotel in Swiss Cottage on Saturday 16th November, when the Heritage Foundation paid special tribute to actor and comedian Bernard Cribbins OBE on achieving 70 years in the business. Best known for narrating The Wombles TV series; his appearances in three Carry On films; two hit records (‘Right Said Fred’ and ‘Hole In The Ground’) plus appearances in Doctor Who, Jackanory, Fawlty Towers, Wrong Arm Of The Law and many other TV programmes and feature films, Cribbins (84) was delighted to receive recognition from his peers at the Heritage Foundation’s annual Christmas Lunch. The glitzy event (complete with crackers, turkey & mince pies) concluded with a full set by the Trembling Wilburys, whose singers Glen Knowler (as George Harrison) and Dave Collison (as Roy Orbison) are seen flanking Cribbins. This turned out to be one of our best performances yet, and a great warm-up for our special Xmas party night at Dingwalls in Camden on December 3rd. Continue reading →
OK folks here we go… all down to Dingwalls on Dec 3rd!
The Trembling Wilburys are the UK’s first & best tribute to rock supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, featuring a line-up of top vocalists and musicians who perfectly recreate the unique sounds & style of the amazing band created in 1988 by George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. Band members include Glen Knowler, truly uncanny as George Harrison, while Dave Collison perfectly captures Roy Orbison‘s incredible vocal range and look.
The Xmas show will feature a full Wilburys set including all the classics (Handle With Care, End of the Line, She’s My Baby plus Beatles & solo George etc), along with a special tribute set to the late, great “Big O”, Roy Orbison who left the bandstand exactly 25 years ago on December 6th, 1988. Plus special guest tbc.

In just a few days time, the Trembling Wilburys will be releasing their first video, “Handle With Care” to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original which set off the whole thing. Originally released on the 17th of October, 1988, “Handle With Care” was the Traveling Wilburys biggest and most popular hit.
One week ago, the Trembling Wilburys made their first videos at Farm Studios in Essex, directed by our pal Mark Windows. We filmed two songs, “Handle With Care” & “Not Alone Any More” and what a lot of fun it was too. Stay tuned for the results – meanwhile here are some shots from the session….
On Monday May 6th, an historic musical event took place at London’s St. James’ Theatre, when three members of John Lennon’s original Quarrymen (Rod Davis, Len Garry and John ‘Duff’ Lowe) were joined by two of the Trembling Wilburys, drummer Dave Stark and bassist Marko Laver, for a one-off gig which was rapturously received by a full house crowd. Dave and Marko were invited to step in as regular Quarrymen drummer Colin Hanton was recovering from a shoulder operation back home in Liverpool. The two-set gig included many skiffle and rock’n’roll classics such as ‘Rock Island Line’, ‘Twenty Flight Rock’ and ‘That’ll Be The Day’, along with Quarrymen/early Beatles originals ‘One After 909’ and ‘In Spite Of The Danger’, plus a sentimental version of Lennon’s classic ‘In My Life’.
The Trembling Wilburys will be playing at the Grovelands Park Centenary, which takes place in Winchmore Hill on May the 18th and 19th. It promises to be a wonderful event full of great activities and shows.
The Wilburys will be performing on the main stage on the Saturday at around 4pm with a combination of Traveling Wilburys, Roy Orbison (our Dave Collison) and George Harrison (our Glen Knowler) songs for you all to dance and sing along to.
So, come on down and enjoy the beautiful park, all the events and our very own Trembling Wilburys.
The Heritage Foundation and our Annual President Vicki Michelle MBE are pleased to announce that there will be a Blue Plaque unveiling in tribute to John Lennon MBE and George Harrison MBE on Sunday March 17th 2013 at Baker Street. It’s Christmas time again, folks. And we’re re-visiting our spiritual home, the Castle Rocks! Come down and join us to ring in Christmas and the New Year at Denis’s place. We’ll be doing all your favourite Orbison, Harrison and Wilburys tunes.
In the words of the Castle Rocks’ main man, Denis Cook,
“I’m looking at this being my “Last Hurrah” Live music session at The Castle with some of my most staunch supporters in David Stark, Dave Collison, Joe Shaw, Dzal Martin and all the guys in
Denis and Shane of the Tower Hillbillies
the bands plus my Hillbilly mates Shane Lamont, Vaughan Rance & Dave Williams. We have another great live music night on 29th but this Sunday afternoon scene has been “more me” and I hope as many of you as possible can join me.”
