Grovelands Park Centenary

Grovelands Park - Winchmore Hill

The Trembling Wilburys are the UK’s first and best tribute to rock supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, featuring a line-up of top vocalists and musicians who perfectly recreate the unique sound of the amazing band created in 1988 by George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. In particular, Glen Knowler stars as an uncannily close George Harrison look & sound-alike, while Enfield-based Dave Collison perfectly captures Roy Orbison’s incredible vocal range. As well as such Wilburys hits as “Handle With Care” and “End Of The Line”, the band’s repertoire also includes classic songs by The Beatles, solo Harrison, Orbison, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, which all makes for an unforgettable tribute show of the highest musical quality.

Since forming just over two years ago, the band has played at some prestigious events including the recent Heritage Foundation Blue Plaque unveiling to George Harrison & John Lennon in Baker Street, where they were supported by Rick Wakeman and Rod Davis of the original Quarrymen. Another highlight last year was performing at an official tribute dinner to the late Robin Gibb, while the Wilburys are also regular performers at London Beatles Day events. The band are all looking forward to joining in the Centenary Celebrations at Grovelands Park, and entertaining everyone with some of rock’s greatest-ever songs.

The Trembling Wilburys are due to perform from about 4pm but it is recommended to turn up earlier to enjoy all of the other performances and events happening from 10am.

  3. Hi Have you heard of the venue, in the West Mildlands (Bilston) called The Robin 2 ? It would be perfect for you to play there, I think. The proprietor Mr Mike Hamlet is a
nice person and I’m sure he would consider you doing a gig there.

    • Thanks, Kim. I do know of the venue. I may possibly be appearing there with the Trembling Wilburys some time in the near future. It’s just a matter of pinning down a date.

    • Currently we are only playing in the UK, Chad but, under the right circumstances, we’d happily play in Indianapolis.
