Thanks to everyone who came down to the Half Moon Putney recently, acclaimed as one of our best gigs by many despite a few gremlins in the equipment dept! It’s one of our favourite venues and we’ve been booked back for two more gigs this year, they certainly have good taste in SW London. Talking of which, we’ve also been invited to play on a regular basis at another venue a bit further down the Thames, details to be confirmed soon.
Meanwhile we’re off on our travels again on February 12th with our debut gig at Touchline Live in Hockley, Essex, a great venue be all accounts run by promoter and rock afficionado Dave Kitteridge. Then on March 4th we’re back at The Roadhouse in Birmingham for the third time, followed the next evening with a theatre show at Stamford Corn Exchange in Lincolnshire.
FIRST WILBURYS SOLO ALBUM
In other news, we’ve been working on an original song written by our lead guitar maestro Dzal Martin, who also has his first solo album “Drawing Horses” finally ready for release – you can read all about it here and we hope to be able to actually hear some tracks soon! It’s taken so long that if it isn’t as good as All Things Must Pass, Pet Sounds or Blonde On Blonde then we’ll have our money back (only kidding Dz)..
Finally just a reminder that if you’re looking for a great band for your venue, theatre, function or any other occasion then please don’t hesitate to get in touch – just contact our manager & drummer Dave Stark on 07956 270592 or email david@songlink.com.
